I help clients find solutions to a wide range of life challenges and psychological issues.Blending conventional and alternative approaches, I draw on a variety of styles and techniques to incorporate what will be most helpful for each client. I work with each client to help them build on their strengths to identify and achieve life goals. My practice is currently very full.
I have special training in working in a team approach with eating disorders. Additionally, I am trained in Eye Movement Desensitization Response treatment which has proven extremely effective with trauma. My practice is very full at this time. A first session may take several weeks to schedule.
Working with a broad spectrum of clients,my expertise includes working with clients with eating disorders, women's issues and depression. THis group has proven effective for a range of problems, including Eating Disorders, Substance Abuse, Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder, Anxiety, Depression, Borderline Personality Disorder, and Obsessive Compulsive Disorder. It is effective particularly for those struggling with overwhelming emotions or difficulty managing distress. This group will focus on four key areas: Emotional Regulation, Distress Tolerance, Interpersonal Effectiveness and Mindfulness. Sessions will offer step-by-step exercises for learning these concepts and putting them in place for real and lasting change. Group members benefit from a structured, positive peer experience geared towards learning and finding solutions to ongoing life stressors.
