As an LPC I possess and depend on qualities such as unconditional positive regard, genuineness and empathy.I believe the therapist-client relationship is a microcosm of the real world. The client's ultimate goal is to be able to develop trust with me and generalize this relationship to other relationships that s/he will develop and maintain throughout his/her life. I approach counseling from a humanistic as well as cognitive-behavioral perspective. I believe that by providing an environment consisting of unconditional positive regard, genuineness, and empathy, it will assist my clients to achieve personal growth.

I work with clients who suffer from a variety of life problems,including,but not limited to, depression, anxiety(PTSD OCD panic disorder)and bipolar disorder. Additionally I have worked with clients who have substance abuse problems and marital difficulty.

I incorporate the aspects of cognitive-behavioral therapy because I believe that feelings,actions and thoughts all affect each other simultaneously; therefore a change in one(actions) will affect changes in the others(thoughts and feelings). I also have experience in appraisal which I use throughout the therapy process.
