I work with individuals, couples, families, and adolescents, helping them develop a new clarity and meaning about their life and its context. Some aspects of their life to explore are: their thoughts, feelings, values, concerns about others, and concerns about themselves. Once a new clarity about their life is achieved, new solutions to their dilemmas will evolve. I believe that clients are individuals, but I also know that they are connected to larger systems that take thoughtful consideration and an understanding of the ways they are impacted by them.

It is my bias, that clients, with the right help and a personal desire, can find a new more self-empowered way to navigate life's achievements and challenges, resulting in a life with greater freedom, enjoyment, fulfillment, and meaning.

I also counseled individuals where the legal system was involved, including those in correctional facilities. I studied with and was mentored by notable people in the mental health field: Joan Borysenko, Ph.D., Ramon Corrales, Ph.D., Larry Dossey, MD., Mary Hogan, OSM., M. Scott Peck, MD., Larry Ro-Trock, Ph.D., and "The Institute of Compassionate Presence."
