Changeways Clinic is a private practice of 18 psychologists all specializing in the provision of evidence-based cognitive behaviour therapy (CBT). We see a wide variety of clients, with an emphasis on mood and anxiety-related problems (including panic, PTSD, OCD, social anxiety, and phobias). Individual clinicians also provide services in the areas of parenting, chronic pain, personality disorder, life coaching, return to work, CBT for insomnia, and issues related to sexual orientation. We integrate the principles of acceptance-based and mindfulness-based approaches along with more traditional CBT -based methods.
CBT is an active, skills-based approach to therapy in which client and therapist work collaboratively to identify therapy goals and to select the methods to be used to reach them. Most sessions involve the creation of a plan for action between meetings, as well as therapeutic exercises and discussion.
Our online education site, psychologysalon.teachable.com, offers content for clinicians and the public alike. The YouTube vlog https://www.youtube.com/c/PsychologySalon provides multiple videos on psychological topics. Books include How to be Miserable, How to be Miserable in Your 20s, and The Assertiveness Workbook.
