I chose my profession because I enjoy helping people overcome their individual struggles and to find meaning in life's uncertainty. As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, my primary treatment methods are cognitive-behavioral and strengths-based therapy. My clients receive individualized care to meet their personal needs, not a cookie-cutter approach. My practice includes individuals, couples and families facing a wide range of issues from depression, marital conflict to oppositional defiant teenagers.
Working with adolescents is extremely challenging but very rewarding and one of my professional joys. Self-esteem issues can manifest in many different ways: *relationships lack intimacy & trust? *fear others will abandon/reject you? *put yourself down/use negative self-talk? *worry about the future/regret past experiences? *feel overly sensitive to criticism? *feel hopeless about creating change in life? Group therapy is a powerful therapeutic tool & offers feedback from multiple perceptions. The group process allows members to share their life experiences in a safe and supportive environment. This group is small, confidential & facilitated by two licensed clinicians. Many insurance plans list group therapy services as a covered benefit.
