As a licensed professional counselor, my goal is to help individuals, couples, and families identify areas where change is needed to enhance growth, harmony, and balance in their lives. I take a holistic approach to therapy by incorporating a variety of therapeutic models in my practice including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), Psychodynamic Therapy, Person Centered Therapy, Family Systems Therapy, Mindfulness Based Therapy (i.e., meditation, guided imagery, deep breathing), Eye-Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Play Therapy, Art Therapy, and Sand Tray Therapy.
I have particular expertise working with trauma, Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), sexual abuse, Dissociative Identity Disorder, eating disorders, attachment issues, anxiety, Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD), Asperger's Syndrome, Bipolar Disorder, and psychosis.
I work enjoy working with children as young as 3 years old, adolescents, and adults. I incorporate Canine-Assisted Therapy and Canine-Assisted Play Therapy (CAPT) into sessions for those who desire, using Pugz, our certified therapy dog.

Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) combines cognitive behavior therapy with concepts derived from Zen Buddhism. The combination utilizes techniques that assist with emotion regulation, acceptance, distress tolerance, and mindfulness exercises. These powerful techniques can help your teenager learn how to cope with intense feelings and struggles within their daily life.
