Dr. Cynthia L Pilkington

I am a licensed psychologist with a speciality in Child Psychology. I provide evaluations, individual therapy, play therapy, parent consultation, and parent-child relationship enhancement with children 13 years and younger. I am a 1988 graduate of UNL and have relocated back to Lincoln to be closer to my family and an involved grandparent. I feel children are a blessing to families. I feel great personal and professional satisfaction in seeing smiles return to children's faces, with feelings of joy and hope for the future.

My experience includes diagnosing and treating toddlers, preschoolers, and elementary age children with ADHD, Oppositional Defiant Disorders, Post Traumatic Stress Disorders, Obsessive Compulsive Disorders, Autism Spectrum Disorders, Anxiety and Depression, Phobias, Nightmares and Night Terrors, Post-Divorce Adjustment Issues, and Behavioral Difficulties.

I provide comprehensive care and work closely with parents and other agencies and providers such as daycares,schools, primary care physicians, psychiatrists, case managers, and attorneys as needed. I provide play therapy and experiential experiences as an alternative to "talk" therapy. Play is children's work and kids do amazing "work" to help themselves!
