Sometimes the hardest thing about counseling is making that first call. Your specific concerns and individuality define your therapy experience. Problems relating to abuse,divorce, custody issues, depression,anxiety,parenting and coping with difficult or unexpected life changes are often initial topics that lead people into my office. Whether engaging with young ones in play therapy, problem solving with conflicted adolescents or helping adults in the change process, goals are always specific to the individual person/family and their values. I have performed psychological and custody evaluations which have led to being an expert witness for the courts in several different states.

Sexual, physical and emotional abuse issues whether from the past or the present remain a focus of my therapy. I like the challenges of working with young kids as well as those "lost" or rebellious teenagers. Also, mood disorders such as depression, anxiety and bipolar disorders.

As a Psychologist, my doctoral training and studies provided me the opportunity to learn many different therapeutic techniques and theoretical backgrounds. I do not rely on any one "mold" to fit for everyone. Each person has unique differences so therapeutic interventions are individualized.
