I believe that effective psychotherapy provides a person with increased understanding and self awareness. By gaining deeper insight into lifelong maladaptive patterns, a person can gain the ability to have a healthier lifestyle and outlook on life. One may also come to view their self and others in a completely different way. My style of working with individuals, and couples is a collaborative approach, while being sensitive to each person's specific needs.
Depression, anxiety, marital conflict, grief, trauma, substance abuse/dependency, and co-dependency are my specialty areas. I have experience working with children, adolescents, adults, and families.
