As a Psychologist/MFT I use neurofeedback training, biofeedback, clinical hypnosis, or counseling to work with clinical problems, including ADD/ADHD, learning disabilities, anxiety, panic, depression, insomnia, restless legs, autism, Asperger's, OCD, head injuries and concussions, headaches/migraine, substance abuse and alcoholism, PTSD, fibromyalgia or chronic pain, IBS, stroke, peak performance, and physical balance problems. All treatment is individualized. I do not use neurofeedback technicians. Another specialty is marital/sex therapy. Office hours Monday-Thursday 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. I have been President of the International Society for Neurofeedback and Research, and of the American Society of Clinical Hypnosis.
I have practiced in University Hospital for over 30 years, am board certified in quantitative EEG brain mapping (EEG and Clinical Neuroscience Society),in clinical hypnosis, a Diplomate of the Quantitative EEG Certification Board, board certified in neurofeedback by the Biofeedback Certification International Alliance, and certified in marital/sex therapy.
I am also a full Professor at the University of Utah School of Medicine and have more than 170 professional publications. I am the Primary author of the Standards of Practice of the International Society for Neurofeedback. All neurofeedback training sessions are individualized and done by Dr. Hammond himself.
