Dr. David J Jecmen

I really enjoy working with marriage/family/parent-child relationships in a safe, non-judgmental way that opens up communication and eases tension/conflict. In therapy, I'm active, direct, integrative/creative, encouraging, and compassionate. I engage with you as a partner in identifying what works for you, acting on it, and following through. I enjoy coordinating treatment with other providers/helpers/support people. I'm skilled in working with gifted/talented individuals, soul-searching, and addiction/recovery. I have a passion for what I do, and I live it as a vocation/calling not just a job.

Therapy is sacred space: you have the chance to open up and share the most painful, challenging parts of your life to be acknowledged, respected, supported/nurtured, and healed. It's hard work and requires dedicated effort on both our parts. Done well, therapy leaves you more alive and at peace.

As part of Sanctuary: A Healing Place, LLC, I work with Dorothy Jecmen, LPC and Erica DeNorscia,LASAC. We offer groups, retreats, and intensive outpatient programs. The intensive outpatient programs offer 5-7 hours of individually-tailored therapy a day and can be designed from 1 day to 2 weeks.
