“I have been in private practice for 25 years working with individuals, couples and families, helping people of all ages. Life can be full of challenges, ones we find inside ourselves as well as in our significant relationships. Through the process of psychotherapy and self exploration one can begin to understand their feelings, needs and motivations that impede growth and continue dysfunctional patterns. As the process of psychotherapy continues,one can expect to resolve conflict, reduce symptomology, and gain self esteem; giving way to change, personal growth, and more fulfillment. Insight can lead one to more understanding and self acceptance.

My clinical background is diverse, working in outpatient clinical centers as well as inpatient settings. My methods of practicing are rooted in psychodynamic theory, utilizing behavioral concepts, and cognitive restructuring. I offer short term focused therapy as well as long term insight oriented therapy.

I have a general psychotherapy practice, treating depression and anxiety, relationship issues, family issues, and issues related to adolescence. I also treat issues related to substance abuse and eating disorders. I specialize in sexual orientation issues and same sex couples.”
