I'm an experienced clinical psychologist with a flexible, integrative therapeutic approach. In a respectful, supportive environment, we work collaboratively to help you better understand, emotionally heal, increase trust, safety and self-acceptance, and develop creative, adaptive solutions to painful, confusing, repetitive and unproductive patterns and life situations. My specialties include: trauma and abuse; depression, anxiety, self-esteem; grief and loss; eating disorders and addictions; life transitions, school, work and relational stresses; creativity; sexuality/sex therapy; illness/chronic pain; aging; lgbti/alternative lifestyles; and immigration/acculturation issues. I work with individuals, couples and families, primarily in-person; phone/skype are possible long-distance options.
My relational psychodynamic foundation is enriched by extensive, ongoing training in: integrative mind-body approaches, trauma and crisis, attachment issues, eating disorders/addictions, sexuality/sex therapy, couples therapy, EMDR, Accelerated Experiential Dynamic Psychotherapy, DBT, mindfulness, Somatic Experiencing, Focusing, Sensorimotor and art/expressive therapies. My public service specialty is psychological/psychosocial aspects of human rights abuses.
