I'm an experienced psychologist with a flexible, collaborative and integrative approach to individuals' differing needs and desires. In an empathic and respectful environment, issues and problems can be safely and creatively explored, resulting in deeper understanding, growth and emotional healing. Perpetually curious and appreciative of many theoretical traditions and therapeutic approaches, I've trained in: psychodynamic/psychoanalytic, relational/attachment, crisis and trauma, eating disorders and addictions, DBT, sex therapy, EMDR, gestalt, AEDP, coaching, mindfulness, Somatic Experiencing, Sensorimotor Psychotherapy, art and expressive therapies. I work with individuals, couples and families primarily in-person; phone and skype may be long-distance options.
My areas of specialization include: depression, anxiety, and self-esteem issues; trauma and abuse; eating disorders and addictions; various life, work, relational and existential problems; fertility issues; sex therapy; health, illness, chronic pain; aging; grief and mourning; gender, lgbti and alternative lifestyle concerns; transcultural issues; and psychosocial aspects of workplace and human/civil rights issues.
