“I counsel individuals, couples and children with their families. I have a specialty in short-term couple counseling and relationship dilemmas, with a particular focus on communication skills. I have counseled in the school setting, worked at a drug and alcohol counseling center, and assisted people in crisis on a telephone hotline. As a cofounder of the Center for Family Therapy, I give presentations on a variety of topics, including Marriage Preparation, Couple Communication, Depression, Parenting and Weight Issues. I have also worked with the Diocese of Rockville Centre, predominantly in the area of marriage and re-marriage preparation for couples.

I am trained to work with families and, therefore, can assist in the many challenges facing today's blended families. Extended family issues can also be made clearer so that resolutions can be found.

I utilize homework assignments and handouts to facilitate and expand upon my clients' involvement in the whole process of counseling. My work is done in an informal, conversational, non-threatening manner and clients report improvement in a relatively short amount of time.”
