“Dr. Bita is a clinical psychologist (member of L'ordre des psychologues du Quebec), working in Montreal, West island, and Rosemere (north shore). Dr. Bita has a M.A. in Psychology from Germany and a Ph.D. from Concordia University in Montreal. Over the years, she has acquired clinical experience with adults and adolescents suffering from various problems and disorders such as: alcohol/drug dependency and/or abuse/ addiction, personality, sex and couple difficulties, PTSD, eating disorders, OCD, chronic pain, depression and anxiety, anger and stress management, procrastination, gaining discipline, low self-esteem...

Dr. Bita's goal is to help you become your own therapist, while using a supportive, non-judgmental approach, utilizing scientifically (empirically) supported interventions. Dr.Bita uses an eclectic approach drawing from a variety of psychological theories and techniques, while emphasizing on Schema Focused Cognitive-Behavioral therapy. She also offers group therapy and family therapy (systemic approach).

Using a variety of tools from cognitive behavioral therapy, this group aims to help individuals suffering from alcohol/substance abuse identify the maladaptive coping strategies and the contributing factors to their problems. Coping skills and communication training to improve damaged/broken relationships will be addressed.You will be helped to develop your own individualized relapse prevention plan. This is not an AA meeting or a 12-step program. The group has 16 sessions and consists of a minimum of 5 clients and a maximum of 10 clients, thus registration is required. Group Therapy for Depression

I use a variety of cognitive behavioral techniques to help overcome depression, more specifically depressive symptoms such as lack of motivation, loss of interest, low level of energy, feelings of emptiness and sadness etc. The group consists of a minimum of 5 clients and a maximum of 10 clients, thus registration is required. Stress Management Group

Do you feel overwhelmed with general and everyday life's demands? Do you feel anxious and feel panicky? When asked "how are you?" are you more likely to respond with "stressed-out"? If so, perhaps this is the right group for you. Over a period of 16 weekly sessions various coping skills to manage stress and anxiety are being taught.
