Addictions are adaptations; they are creative, if self-destructive responses to pain. They are elements of a creative-if life-denying-will. In the depths of addiction, one loses one's self. By utilizing a myriad of approaches, I encourage and support clients to take the personal journey in re-establishing the whole self. By developing mindfulness of life's stressors and triggers and increasing one's ability to cope with life on life's terms, one can improve the quality of his or her life and begin a healthy and happy path to recovery.

I specialize in treating adolescents and adults, as well as working with police officers, first responders and other EMS professionals and their families, who are working through addictions and related issues. My approaches include the use of mindfulness practices, EMDR, Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy and traditional talk therapy.

I have contributed to various articles pertaining to wilderness and adventure therapy and have presented for professional organizations on topics such as addiction, trauma, mindfulness and self care for EMS professionals. *Phone number listed is intended for initial intake*
