Mr. Eddie Windham

“I have experience dealing with a broad range of issues. I enjoy helping couples work through relationship issues. I continually seek out training and literature dealing with marriage counseling. I have experience working with depression, anxiety, and elderly issues such as dementia both from working as a clinical social worker in a psychiatric hospital and in my private practice. I enjoy helping trauma victims by using EMDR. I facilitate the Domestic violence Offender Program, which treats offenders in groups. I also work with non-domestic anger management issues. I recently completed training to treat sexual addictions including pornography.

I have experience writing adoption home studies for both private, domestic agency, and foreign adoptions. I worked full-time as the Adoption Supervisor for volunteers of America in Lake Charles for 8 years. I have been very pleased with the effectiveness of EMDR for treating persons with traumatic life events.

I am known in my community as a man with strong Christian convictions, & freely tell people that I am a Christian. I do not do Christian counseling however (Bible study during sessions). I believe that a pastor's responsibility. I am however, a counselor that Christian people will feel comfortable with.”
