I have been a psychotherapist in Kansas City since 1982 and now live in Santa Fe. I work with clients using a somatic energetic approach, that addresses a clients issues on a psychological/emotional/physical/spiritual level.I see the therapy relationship as a partnership between myself and clients who are committed to change and growth. I believe that each person has the wisdom within themselves for their growth and healing. Often we unconsciously have developed survival and coping mechanisms that keep us disconnected from our true self. My role is to help a person identify the unconscious ways they have lived this disconnect and help develop ways of listening to their spirit/true self.
I have extensive clincial expereince working with LGBTQ clients. I am a gender specialist, working with individuals dealing with transgender issues and a member of the World Professional Association for Transgender Health. I have a specialty working with women who are married and questioning their sexual orientation.
