Dr. Ellen E Ford

Psychologist , PsyD

(978) 633-9990 x3
Do you struggle with feeling down or anxious? Do you sometimes think, feel or behave in ways that confuse you? Perhaps relationships are difficult, or the past is burdensome to you, or you have a hard time managing the stress of everyday living. I would like to help. I have a gentle and accepting manner and would work with you collaboratively to help resolve the issues that are a priority for you. I have many years of experience working with those who have problems with mood and anxiety, as well as substance abuse and self-harm.
I work a lot with adults who have been traumatized as children, such as surviving violence, sexual abuse, emotional neglect or abuse, alcoholism in the family, or chronic invalidation or rejection. My continuing education focus has been in trauma treatment.
I draw on a variety of treatment methods, including EMDR and Internal Family Systems (IFS). I am a member of two trauma-focused organizations: NESTTD, and ISST-D.
