Dr. Florie Elmore

Psychologist , PsyD

(510) 847-6991
Somewhere inside, we have a deep sense of knowing. Some of us stand calmly in it. Others catch glimpses. You belong here: in this place, at this time. You deserve to love and be loved fully. You have unique gifts: yours to delight in and share with the world as you will. If you have forgotten, I want to help you remember.
I would be honored to guide you on a journey to: move beyond stories that no longer serve you, activate the intuitive knowing within you, love yourself unconditionally, create a life that feeds your spirit, expand into your authentic, powerful self, find your path and the courage to follow it.
The environment I create is nurturing, challenging, accepting, and honest. There is room for humor, despair, and mistakes. As our counseling relationship deepens, our interconnection becomes a means of healing and growth. In addition to talk therapy I use art therapy, ritual, meditation, mindfulness, psychodrama, sand tray, and guided visualization.

I want to refer almost everyone I know to leaf. He is a gentle, patient father, an exuberant cheerleader, a wise and wild shaman, a safe container for pain and secrets. He is a real, authentic human and a true healer who will hold you while pushing you to grow. He also offers free consultation so you can try him to see for yourself.
Two of the traits I value most highly in a therapist are warmth and authenticity. I have worked alongside Florie while co-leading an interpersonal process group, and these are without a doubt two of her strengths. Florie has a way of putting people at ease because from the moment you meet her, you know in your bones that Florie is being Florie. There is safety in that, I think.
