Prior to the initial session I ask clients to spend five or ten minnutes writing down what they would like to change or accomplish while in therapy. Two to three goal statements are usually sufficient. My experience has shown that that therapy works best when the goals are specific, measurable and understood by everyone involved.

I have extensive training in Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy. One of the aspects that I enjoy most about CBT is the emphasis on collaboration with the client. I believe that utimately, this allows for the best opportunity to acheive a successful therapeutic outcome.

I am a contracted provider with several Employee Assistance Programs. This allows the client an opportunity to see me at no out of pocket cost for a time limited number of sessions. This treament model fits well into a brief solution focused approach.
