“Dr. Gabriela Gamboa received her education and training from the prestigious school of Azusa Pacific University. She obtained a Master's degree in Family Counseling, and a Doctoral Degree in Clinical Psychology. Dr. Gabriela Gamboa is fluent in Spanish and has worked extensively with the Hispanic population. Her services include working with individuals, couples, and families. Her areas of expertise are depression, anxiety and trauma related to history of abuse. She has a special interest in women's issues and has worked extensively with women of different backgrounds.
Dr. Gabriela Gamboa utilizes a family systems conceptual framework and at the same time utilizes a cognitive behavioral approach to guide her interventions. By identifying what thoughts are guiding our feelings and our behaviors, one is able to reach a place of healing to any conflict one may be experiencing.
Dr. Gamboa is a Christian, and she has a special interest in the integration of spirituality in her treatment. She believes in helping clients identify their value system and recognizing if it is congruent with the way one is making decisions.”

The goals of this group are to gain a better understanding of the reasons for their depressive symptoms and how to start the healing process. This group offers women a safe and comfortable environment to discuss their stories and recognize that they are not alone.
