There should be no shame or stigma around counseling. Many people struggle with relationship conflict, financial stress, medical conditions that lead to depression, etc. Counseling is for people who simply cannot resolve their problems on their own and need a neutral, objective, professional to help them to brainstorm new solutions or reframe their situation in a new light. It takes courage and strength to admit when we have a problem and then to ask for help in dealing with it. Some problems cannot be solved; it may mean getting help in coming to terms with and learning to accept it.

I can help people feel at ease quickly and listen, giving my full, undivided attention. If a person needs help with learning relaxation techniques or stress management, I can teach those skills. Others know what to do, they just need help in deciding to change and support in carrying out changes.
