Dr. Vollenweider was born and raised in the New Orleans area. He is a licensed psychologist who earned his doctorate in Clinical Psychology from Auburn University in 2000. He is a member of the American Psychological Association. He offers individual psychotherapy for school-aged children, adolescents, college students, and other adults. Dr. Vollenweider also provides family and couples therapy. The most common issues addressed in psychotherapy include anxiety, depression and bipolar disorder, adjustment difficulties, and ADHD.

Dr. Vollenweider provides research-based therapeutic interventions. He usually works from a cognitive-behavioral perspective, although he also utilizes other techniques from other orientations when they are helpful. He works with his clients to develop treatment goals and to evaluate progress throughout treatment.

He also provides psychological evaluations, including intelligence, achievement, and personality testing. ADHD, learning disabilities, behavioral, and emotional difficulties are the issues he most frequently assesses.
