Ms. Isabella Christodoulou

Much of my social work practice has been in the non-profit sector, facilitating groups, families, couples and individual therapy. I have worked in the East Village, New York City, South London,U.K., Berlin, Germany and many years here in New Orleans with homeless adolescents. The clients I have been privileged to work with taught me much as I witnessed their courage and growth. The skills and expertise I have, I owe to them. I will always be especially in debt to the patients I saw as an intern years ago in the emergency rooms of Charity Hospital, New Orleans.

Many of the clients I have worked with have struggled with addictions, traumas both psychological and physical, depression, anxiety, grief and pretty much every kind of trouble and heartache we endure as humans.

I am an actress with NOLA Playback Theatre and I like to write. A central belief which guides my work is that emotional pain often finds relief in creative expression. And another thing: humor has a funny way of working too.
