While some see going to a counselor as a weakness, I see it as a great strength. We all face times in our lives where an objective third party, mentor, minister, coach or therapist can be a great help. I especially enjoy and feel gifted in helping married persons reconnect after their relationship has broken down, or an affair has occurred, or some other form of relational betrayal has been experienced. I see it as my job to cut through all the popular literature and self-help books, and provide best practice, and research based compassionate marital therapy.

My greatest distinctive is that I am trained as a Certified Christian Sex Therapist. Where do people of faith go with their sexual struggles and sexual brokenness? Often our faith communities are not a safe place to make these issues known, much less seek recovery and healing.

I am comfortable working with people who's faith is particularly important to them, and are concerned that their faith will be respected in the therapy process. As a Christian, I understand this yearning, and have noted with interest the growing importance and recognition of spirituality in the counseling field.
