I am James Vickers, MSW/RSW, a registered Social Worker who has, over the last 20 years, helped adolescents, couples and families overcome a wide range of difficulties. In addition, to my extensive experience as a generalist working with a wide range of difficulties, (depression, anxieties, anger management etc.), I also have specific expertise in the areas of domestic violence, sexual offending behaviors and sexual abuse. I am skilled at using what people bring to therapy, enhancing their strengths and helping them move forward with hope and practical solutions.

I utilize a fusion of traditional approaches (Cognitive-Behavioral, Structural, Experiential etc.) and "leading-edge" approaches (Narrative, Brief Solution-Focused, Collaborative, etc.) to put my clients in the driver's seat of therapy. My greatest strength is my ability to individualize therapy to meet the needs of my clients.
