The two most important qualities that I bring into each session with you are respect and appreciation--for your path as an individual, and for the creativity and resilience of the human spirit. In our visits, I strive to provide a safe, non-critical, therapeutic space; an interpersonal space that allows for open and honest self expression, self exploration and self acceptance. I try to listen well, and then to provide feedback tailored to your individual needs and inclinations. I bring over twenty years of experience, research, and training in brain-behavior relationships to my work as a therapist.
I take a very holistic approach to the individual needs you bring to our sessions, and am able to provide or assist you with education and skills training in many areas, including: stress or pain management; depression, anxiety, and anger management; and interpersonal or cognitive skills, depending on your needs.
My research and training in developmental disabilities, neuropsychology, physical rehabilitation, and pain management programs have provided me with a soundly grounded approach to medical and developmental problems across the lifespan. A free 15-minute telephone or face-to-face visit will help you determine if we will be a good fit.
