Trained in EMDR, play therapy & family therapy, I have over 18 years of experience in helping a culturally diverse individuals and families with a variety of problems from coping with complex trauma to dealing with normal life changes. My office has specially designed play therapy rooms for children and teens.

ADHD Group for elementary and middle schoolers

Every Monday at 6pm - 7:30pm
$20 - $30 per session

This is an opportunity to meet with other young people with ADHD to discuss frustrations and struggles in living with ADHD. They will develop social skills, and build those necessary executive skills like organization, planning, problem-solving, and decision-making. They will receive practical ideas for success at school and home. You can expect to see a decrease in conflicts with others, an increase the ability to ask for help when needed, accepting responsibility for schoolwork, better organization and planning of school work, increased and better communication skills of what they need to succeed.

Anger Control with Difficult and Defiant Children
1315 West Main St, Suite D, Lexington, Kentucky
Every other Wednesday at 6:30pm - 8pm
$20 - $30 per session

This group covers the A-B-C method of understanding the: who, what, where and WHY and "how do I change it" of angry thoughts and feelings. The student will discover ways to change their thinking, increase their ability to cope with sadness, fear and loss, and adapt to situations in their life where they feel powerless, insecure and out of control. Four sessions. One Hour. (First and Third Tuesdays at 6:30PM)

What About Me? Children of Divorce

Every Thursday at 6pm - 7:30pm
$20+ per session

Often student's who have a parent with going through a divorce, or continued conflicts after divorce. This group offers children a chance to develop a sense of where they fit in their two houses/lives, how to handle loyalty issues, how to cope with an "angry parent" and stay out of the middle! Five Sessions. One and one-half Hours. (Thursday Evenings 6:00-7:30PM)
