Ms. Janice Rockwell

As a Licensed Independent Mental Health Counselor, I specialize in individual, couples and family therapy as well as issues relating to addiction. With over 30 years experience as a therapist I have worked with many individuals on their journey to emotional wellness. I began my career working for inpatient substance abuse treatment centers in Grand Island and Omaha. My focus and passion has been to help individuals with addictions, grief and loss issues, depression/anxiety, and trauma.

In 1995 while working for St. Francis Medical Center, I was involved in developing an internal/external Employee Assistance Program and I became a CEAP at this time. During this time I became involved with the Statewide Critical Incident Stress Management Team and began doing debriefings as well as training in EMDR.

Five years ago with three other therapists, we formed Prairie Winds Therapy Group, LLC. In the spring of 2011, I began CSAT training. As a CSAT candidate, individuals with sexual addition or sexual compulsivity can begin the psycoeducational process of recovery.
