Ms. Jeanne Cunningham

I work mainly with individual adults, though I also see some adolescents and couples. My areas of specialization are adults who were sexually abused as children, children (particularly daughters) of narcissistic mothers, grief issues, self-esteem issues; intimacy issues, especially communication; depression, anxiety, adjustment disorders, obsessive compulsive disorder and obsessive compulsive personality disorder, and dependent personality disorder. I also have experience working with DID (dissociative identity disorder) and bi-polar disorder. In addition, I have just completed the ASCH (American Society of Clinical Hypnosis) certification process in hypnosis. I am also trained in Mind/Body Medicine. No substance-related disorders.

Mind/Body Medicine and Hypnosis are closely related. Much of the mind/body approach focuses on meditation and guided imagery, whereby, for example, one can go to an inner safe or special place to calm oneself and either need no anesthetic, or less anesthetic, for minor medical procedures.

Other than hypnosis (which I love, and which typically does not require lengthy treatment), I'm most interested in working with people who are involved in personal growth.
