Your conversations with a therapist should help you to explore your situation, look for alternative perspectives and find solutions or new strategies. Whether you are discussing sexuality issues, anxiety, depression, bipolar, trauma, addictions (alcohol, drug, sexual), GLBTQ issues you should feel supported, understood and challenged to explore all the different aspects of the situation. My goals for therapy are to help you increase coping strategies, increase communication and negotiation skills, increase self-esteem, increase your awareness of your strengths and to process difficult situations like grief and loss or the experience of a traumatic event.

Sex therapy can help to deal with sexual difficulties, desire discrepancy in couples, to enhance pleasure or reinvigorate your sex life, or to negotiate open relationships, experimentation or kink. I work with heterosexual and LGBTQ people.

With individuals I will use a combination of Narrative Therapy, EMDR and other approaches. With couples and families, my goal is to help you listen to each others' points of view, build empathy and understanding, and to arrive at some compromise or consensus about the issues that are important to you.
