I believe that from the day we are born, to the day we die, we come to know ourselves in and through our most intimate relationships. Hopefully these relationships are life giving, whether they are with our parents, our siblings or our significant partners. However, when we have to struggle to find support and comfort from our loved ones, life can become frustrating and hopeless. As both a Marriage and Family Therapist, and a Licensed Professional Counselor, I am trained to offer my clients the most comprehensive counseling practice available to help them improve their most intimate relationships.

My work with couples and individuals is grounded in the belief that we all need a secure, dependable, loving person to support us, especially during stressful times. However, building that loving, enduring relationship is oftentimes tremendously challenging. Healthy relationships require openness, honesty, vulnerability and a willingness to be empathetic.

I believe that painful relationships can be improved by exploring our individual histories and the patterns that make up our relationships. When we take the time to explore our feelings, our expectations and our beliefs, we are oftentimes able to create relationships that are a source of comfort and security.
