Hello and thank you for viewing my profile. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor, with a previous background as a Registered Nurse. My goal with clients is to learn about issues from their perspective and also how it relates to themselves and relationships. What compels a client to counseling are problems that affect both personal and relational aspects of their lives. I believe that a part of therapy is a process of reframing, rewriting one's own dialogue and finding meaning in their issues, which can be very beneficial to those persons/couples/families that enter counseling.
In addition, I have a strong interest in supporting women and their families that are experiencing the challenges of Perinatal and Postpartum depression and anxiety. I am a member of Postpartum Support International and one of the volunteer Coordinators for Louisiana.
