Dr. Joanne Vizzini

I have a dynamic private practice in Mt. Washington and Columbia, MD. The most important component of therapy is listening deeply to my clients. I specialize in all types of anxiety issues, including generalized anxiety, OCD, specific phobias, panic disorder and social anxiety. I'm an out-of-network provider for most insurance companies and am flexible with individual financial needs. I counsel individuals and families of all ages. My specialties include healing past hurts, such as codependency and addictions for adults; helping families who are separating/divorcing; and, children/youth who struggle with ADD/ADHD and/or learning disabilities.

Currently, I am open to receiving new clients. I work with clients of all ages who have issues of anxiety, depression, spirituality, and general mental health. Puppet therapy is available for adults, children, and groups (see website). My PhD combined psychology with spirituality. Sharing spiritual issues is welcomed, not required.

I have had the privilege to witness many people finding freedom, some even more than could have been imagined. I am offering several upcoming groups for clients and Puppet Therapy Training for therapists/educators in Fall 2011. I teach/supervise Master's level clinicians at Loyola University. See my website!
