I work with people who find themselves in difficult places. You may be experiencing depression, sadness, anxiety, emotional trauma, illness, the loss of someone or something you have loved, or a problem in your relationships. Often in our lives we need someone outside of our circle of family and friends to understand us, help illuminate possibilities, and accompany us as we find our way out of difficulty. My hope is that our work together will allow you to heal, lessen emotional pain, and experience more joy.

In therapy, we are able to hold a different kind of conversation, one which will deepen the meaning of your experiences, transform your suffering into hope, and allow you to further cultivate your own distinctive voice and to commit to your own unique life projects.

My approach is broadly humanistic and psychodynamic, which means I seek to understand your concerns in a non-judgmental way, to help you become presently aware of your experience, and to facilitate insight into the meaning of your experience, especially how early relationships continue to live profoundly in the present.
