“The situations and symptoms that bring people into psychotherapy are typically painful, difficult and confusing. While no one wants to struggle in their lives, I help my psychotherapy clients to learn about the important messages these challenges may be communicating. As anxiety, depression, relationship conflicts and other issues are acknowledged and faced, healing and growth can occur that create unexpected life benefits. With 30 years experience guiding clients on this journey, I provide new perspectives, encouragement and other resources that can enable relief of symptoms, new awareness and increased life opportunities.

My special interest in couples psychotherapy, anxiety and depression stems from years of private practice work with clients and my own personal journey. Early experience working in an urban hospital outpatient clinic, which contained a phobia program, grew my interest and insight into the unique processes of anxiety and depression.

My approach to psychotherapy incorporates my continually developing knowledge of personal psychology and the principles of life coaching. The focus of therapy is to both alleviate troublesome symptoms, and to develop a larger plan that can bring greater life purpose and satisfaction into relationships, work and other life pursuits.”
