Dr. Juanita Patricia Guerra

Psychologist , PhD

(914) 712-8137
I am a licensed clinical psychologist with over ten years of experience in treating adults, adolescents, and families that struggle with relating to others or with a feeling that life is not as gratifying as they want it to be. Clinically, I provide support and compassion while challenging individuals to confront their primary areas of struggle. I believe each individual is distinct and my therapeutic approach is tailored to meet each person's specific needs. I work intuitively and provide a safe space where individuals feel supported and understood, and have the opportunity to empower themselves across all areas.
I have a special interest in working with individual's that are struggling with existential life issues and aspire above all else to be happy.
I have specialized training in treating trauma victims and in using alternative techniques and strategies to facilitate the therapeutic process. Alternative techniques can be used to promote growth and change in areas that are not responding to more traditional approaches.
