“If you consult with me, you might have a problem that is negatively affecting your life. This problem can result in thinking or acting in ways that are not preferable for you, or that negatively affect your relationships with others. I invite you to explore talents, abilities and strengths that may have been hidden by the difficult problem(s). Together, we re-discover your preferred experiences in your life, and your hopes, dreams and wishes. Retelling these experiences and stories, and discussing strategies for change often helps you uncover ways you can overcome the problem and live a happier life.

I work from narrative, cognitive-behavioral, systems and existential perspectives. I see individuals and families who are challenged by depression, anxiety, parenting, relationship issues, communication disorders, social skills, illness and loss. Your problems that seemingly dominate your life will be replaced by stories of hope, change, resilience, and happiness.

I received a Master's in Counseling from UVM in 2006. I am also a Speech-Language Pathologist and Assistant Clinical Professor in the Communication Sciences Dept at UVM. My counseling skills are enriched by over 20 years' experience working with children, adults and families challenged by a communication disorder.”
