Ms. Kathleen Polscer

I love my work as a couples' counselor. I have over 21 years experience as an individual and couples therapist, and 7 years in private practice. I help couples improve communication, rekindle feelings of intimacy and improve their awareness of patterns which may result in defensiveness. In individual therapy, I try to create a warm environment where my clients feel comfortable to discuss their issues. Together we develop goals and strategies for cultivating positive changes. In couples work, we examine ways you have been communicating that may be problematic, and I will teach you new skills to change those patterns.

I help you learn to be more aware of those patterns, so each partner can put into place skills and techniques for enhancing intimacy. Therefore, you can learn to enjoy each other for who you are, appreciating again the strengths and positive qualities that you first felt in each other.
