Finding the right therapist for you is essential for treatment to be effective. I specialize in individual therapy and counseling (19 yrs experience-post internships-ages 18-60) for depression, anxiety, grief and loss (esp. mother-loss); UCLA trained and educated. I view the therapy process as a collaborative one. My approach is authentic, straightforward, down to earth, nonjudgmental, and solution focused. Other issues/concerns addressed on a regular basis include: improving self-esteem and interpersonal relationships, adjustment/ transition to college, assertiveness, communication skills, stress management, and midlife concerns/adjustment/transitions.

By blending Cognitive-Behavioral (CBT) and Psychodynamic therapy, we will work to alleviate troublesome symptoms, understand underlying dynamics, improve interpersonal relationships and resolve issues as quickly as possible, while learning skills to practice outside of therapy. I also assist with stress reduction/stress management with Mindfulness Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT).
