With 30 years experience, I help my clients achieve breakthrough progress with life challenges and mental health related concerns, in a safe and secure setting. Having specialized training in the assessment and treatment of most mental health problems, I take a solution-oriented approach to therapy, with specific goals to be achieved over a short, yet intensive period of counselling. My philosophy is to utilize only the most extensively tested (evidence-based) treatment interventions to assist clients in solving the individual issues they bring to the therapeutic environment.

As a California State Board Certified Hypnotherapist, I utilize hypnotherapy, as well as other psychotherapeutic interventions, to treat many mental health related challenges. Hypnotherapy is particularly beneficial in the treatment of habit control, depression, anxiety, phobias, confidence, stress, insomnia, and trauma related issues.

Professional training and treatment skills include: 1. Seeking Safety Treatment (Substance Abuse and Post Traumatic Stress Disorder) 2. Cognitive Behavioral Therapy 3. Dialectical Behavior Therapy 4. Solution Focused Brief Therapy 5. Hypnotherapy. As a community service, a sliding fee scale is offered, so those with financial need can receive the services they need.
