“Children and adolescents face the difficult challenge of expressing and modulating emotions in an adult-focused world. I strive to provide a safe, supportive and comfortable environment for clients to feel confident in sharing feelings and concerns through talk or play. My approach combines client strengths, relationship themes and behavior modification to help clients understand the emotions that motivate behavior. Working together, we can identify problem behaviors, how they have worked in the past, why they are not working now, and how we can make positive changes for the future.
I work with children, adolescents, young adults and families with a wide range of mental health concerns. My specialties include behavior, mood and anxiety disorders, as well as childhood and pervasive developmental disorders. I have clinical experience in a wide spectrum of care (acute inpatient, residential treatment, partial hospitalization, day treatment, school-based, and outpatient).
Conveniently located in Kahala Mall, my practice offers ample free parking in a easily accessible neighborhood of Honolulu.”
