I offer an unique blend of longevity in my profession of clinical psychology as well as an awareness of and utilization of the latest trends in treatment. My own life experiences have included several challenging medical and family issues. Learning to deal with these effectively has expanded my awareness on many levels and has made me a more compassionate and creative therapist. I am very comfortable working with children, adolescents, families and stepfamilies, single adults, married couples and committed partners, and the elderly.

I enjoy the challenge of helping people with anxiety, depression, alcohol and substance use and abuse issues, and forensic areas such as custody, visitation, and criminal matters. I utilize a directive eclectic style within a cognitive behavioral approach.

I have a diverse professional background. I began my career in psychiatric hospitals. I have also worked in college settings, community mental health, and educational programs. I have worked the longest in a private practice setting.
