My clients describe me as easy to talk to, non-judgmental, calm and caring. I enjoy working with people of varied backgrounds and orientations -- adults, college students and older adolescents. All of our lives are marked by hurt, stress and confusion. Sometimes we need professional support to help us heal, get back on track, or to become the person we have always wanted to be -- someone with more self-esteem and skill in meeting the world. Therapy can help you deal with what is holding you back, make needed changes, and be more accepting of your strengths and limits.
I work with individuals and couples who are dealing with past trauma, current changes or challenges. Most of my clients are experiencing depression or anxiety, and may have decisions to make regarding work or school life, relationships, or identity. Special interests: GLBTQ issues; acute or chronic illness; grief; social anxiety.
My office is located in a lovely, quiet historical building in downtown Lexington with easy parking and handicapped accessibility. In addition to individual and couples' work, I run a group - Overcoming Social Anxiety - at various times of the year. A group regarding retirement issues is in the works.

Ms. Linda Angelo also hosts the following groups:
Linda Angelo, 535 W. 2nd Street, Suite 207, Lexington, Kentucky
Every Monday at 5:30pm - 7pm
$40 - $50 per session
In a highly supportive atmosphere, members participate in structured assignments and discussion, learning what factors are interfering with their ability to engage with others, and developing techniques for coping - calming the body, thinking more realistically, gradually reducing avoidance and experimenting with behavior change. Group therapy is a very useful context for becoming less judgmental and more self-accepting, and for learning social skills. Offered various times through the year, in the evening or daytime.
Email Ms. Linda Angelo about this group or call (859) 904-2896
