You are coming into therapy because there is something you are having difficulty working out and you need help from someone else.Therapy is a way to contact parts of you that are disconnected. This can be described in terms of an authentic self and untrue self. As we grow up we learn to make creative adjustments in order to adapt to our environment and we may keep our thoughts and emotions to ourselves. I am a good listener but not a silent partner, because what is important in therapy is the therapeutic relationship that develops between the two of us.

My specialties include relationship issues, depression, anxiety, posttraumatic stress, and bereavement and loss. I have trained as a Gestalt therapist with the Gestalt Institute of Philadelphia and my approach in therapy is a balance between support and challenge. You will gain more understanding of supporting influences, identify root causes, and address your underlying needs.
