phone: (251) 202-2096If you are finding yourself overwhelmed and struggling, please know that psychotherapy does not need to be a difficult and painful process. A good assessment is the first step, followed by the development of a plan of action that feels right to you. The years I have been in practice, I have found that most people come in to regain the hope for the future that is eluding them and to find new and different ways of dealing with the problems that have them stuck. It is usually the tangle of multiple problems at one time that causes the stalemate.
Relationships often develop problems because they are complex and none of us were taught the many strategies that help us resolve issues when they arise. Often simple strategies can be a start to get you to a better place.
I consider our first session to be the opportunity for us to look at the problems and to see if we feel comfortable working together. I am very flexible about the number of sessions and their frequency, particularly when finances are a limiting factor.
