As children we create beliefs about ourselves and the world around us that are a result of our interactions with our environment, our heredity and, our relationships with others. Everyday we reinforce those beliefs by our assumptions and our interpretation of events, even though those beliefs may no longer be accurate, may cause us pain, and may negatively impact our ability to function at optimum potential. Counseling and hypnotherapy facilitate awareness, change, empowerment and growth.

I believe that competency plus compassion are essential for healing. A little humor can help, too. I take a kind and common sense approach to helping people redefine, recreate and reinvent themselves in order to bring forth the empowered authentic self.

The goal in counseling is to create a safe therapeutic space in which troubling thoughts, feelings and relationship issues can be faced and processed. This leads to new insights, relief of symptoms and psychological growth. I addition to individual work, my special interests include parenting, relationship and communication issues.
