Ms. Marian Stephenson

Concerns about a relationship, family dynamics, feelings of depression, fear, anxiety, loss, history of trauma or abuse, self-esteem problems health issues, mental illness are some of the issues that people bring into my office. I enjoy working with people who have a desire to address and work on any problem which is causing discomfort in their lives. The people I am seeing currently range from age sixteen into their eighties. I primarily see people in individual sessions but do work with couples. I am willing to file claims for Medicare and insurances for which I am covered.

My work with each individual differs according to the person's unique needs and personality organization. I particularly enjoy working with people who are earnest in wanting to solve their problems and who give this desire a high priority. Most people find me understanding and easy to talk with.

My training is in clinical social work and psychoanalysis. My postgraduate training as a psychoanalyst deepens my work and enables me to better help individuals to have an understanding of themselves. I love my career and value my relationships with the people with whom I work.
