Dr. Marjorie L. Rand

I have been a practicing psychotherapist for thirty years. I also teach graduate level psychology and train professional psychotherapists. I have trained psychotherapists in the US, Canada, Israel and Europe. I am the author of 3 books (see my website) and many published professional articles. I am a founding member of the United States Association for Body Psychotherapy and a diplomate of the American Psychotherapy Association. My focus is developmental. theory-how our early life affects us and our relationships.

I specialize in somatic psychology (body/mind) and pre and perinatal psychology ( the psychology of gestation, birth and bonding). I particularly like to work with couples and have a great deal of experience in that area. I also work with pregnant couples and parents with infants and children.

I am the mother of two, the stepmother of four, and the grandmother of four children spanning ages 6 to 42. This has given me unique experience in working with issues of parenting, blended families, family dynamics and relationships, be it between parents and children or spouses.
